August 17 - Grinning and Bearing
Finish up the Animal Farm videos with XXII. Bears and
XXIII. Cats before racing to that great
training ground of DVC for the second day of Theory, returning home to prepare for the evening, and then
heading back toward it for the first session of
Music Literature -- again with a huge overflow: the 40 enrolled plus a wait-list of 32, from which I can only oblige about half.
[Next week's quiz above -- with the provisos that the C Major Scale indeed begins on C (not the B below, which was left over from a melodic example), the fourth listening of the week is the California Yurok Women's Brush Dance, and much of the material to the right (Dmitri Shostakovich's soggetto cavato, the whole-step/half-step succession in a major scale, and the accidentals) will not be part of the quizable content]
Again, all apparently goes well, and afterwards Doug and Owen and I head for our evening's entertainment.
