March 31 - Tales Told

Video Academic Endeavors: I.-IX. in the late hours, after watching with Harriet PBS travel shows on the Mediterranean shores of France and Croatia.

Before that

(as the weather turns weird again --

mostly overcast, warm inland,

fog racing over the Marin Ridges and into

Sonoma -- well, actually,

those

latter

two

concepts

are

pretty

typical

on

certain

summer

days)

it was another walk on the Coast-to-Nevada project, hikes which have also doubled of late as part of a generalized approximation of the Bay Area Ridge Trail, now from the

Marin-

Sonoma

border,

to

almost

within

view

of

South

Petaluma

Boulevard.

A couple more pages (19-20) composed for Vespers: X. Psalm 147 - Lauda Jerusalem and somewhere in there a video for

The Twelve Fingers: IV. Song.

May 30 - In Memoriam Reflexio

Do a video of Psalm 6: 6-10 late at night, on a day where

Harriet and I take our

Memorial early, as seemingly everyone does,

heading to

Napa, first towards

Brix and

Robert Mondavi, but ultimately to

Alpha

Omega, and

Folia

a

Deux,

for

tasting and

picnicking,

returning past Poverty Hills and the

North Lagoon Mountains, for seemingly

interminable

errands, videoing

The Twelve Fingers: III. Scherzo, and composing pages 17-18 of Vespers: X. Psalm 147 - Lauda Jerusalem.

May 29 - Echoing Across the Canyons

Head down to Half Moon Bay's Redondo Beach to video Psalm 6: 1-5.

Before that, as Harriet heads out the door for rehearsals, compose pages 15-16 of Vespers: X. Psalm 147 - Lauda Jerusalem; and off on this suddenly warm/clear/glorious feels-like-first-day-of-summer to Berkeley rehearsal of

Job: A Masque, at Chamber Arts with Marty Stoddard, Keisuke Nakagoshi, Marilyn Pratt (Job), Heather Klein (Elihu), Kate Bautch (Job's Wife), Nanette McGuiness (God / Bildad the Shuhite), and

Sarita Cannon (Eliphaz the Temanite), in such scenes as "We Were Plowing" and

"Who Are You, Job?"

While Harriet rehearses Sutter Creek, head to the back room to video

The Twelve Fingers: II. Song.

After lunch with H at a Rockridge gormet burger joint (outdoors with non-run-of-the-mill classical background selections), make the jump south of San Francisco

via

Pacifica,

Devil's

Slide,

Gray Whale

Cove,

Montara and

Miramar Beaches

to

Redondo

Cliffs

for

video

of

Psalm

6:

1-5.

Following

this,

back

north -- calling Crystal to wish her a Happy Birthday (she and Christina are moving back to Marin within a week!) and to make arrangements to get together upon their return --

for another Job rehearsal, now with the ensemble, then home through Marin, to edit and post above videos on YouTube.
